The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali continued to expand in Q3 2012, with new serviced offices, a business lounge and yet more international banks joining Dubai’s fastest-growing commercial community, says developer Limitless.
Aya Business Centres, which occupies 105,000 sqft (seven floors) at The Galleries, opened its first phase of serviced offices, while Limitless itself began fitting out a 7,500 sqft Business Lounge, comprising a boardroom, meeting rooms, internet stations, salons for men and women, refreshment and relaxation areas and a landscaped terrace overlooking The Galleries 215,000 sqft gardens.
Bahaa Abouhatab, Head of UAE Projects for Limitless, said: “Our new facilities are even more reason to join The Galleries’ ever-growing community. The Limitless Business Lounge will be a convenient, affordable location for meetings and corporate events for our commercial tenants and other companies seeking an alternative venue to those offered by hotels.”
The Galleries’ banking hub also continued to grow in Q3 2012, with Arab Bank leasing 4,400 sqft of retail space. Six global banks, occupying 16,500 sqft between them, are now based at the development, with more bank deals in the pipeline. Other retail facilities at The Galleries include cafes, restaurants, car rental and a convenience store.
The Galleries is an eight-building mixed-use project set in shaded, landscaped grounds the size of three international football pitches. It includes four completed, fully operational commercial towers with 789,000 sqft of A-grade office space, 550,000 sqft of which is already occupied, and 68,000 sqft of retail space. Limitless is also exploring options for the completion of The Galleries’ first residential tower.
The Galleries is an hour by car from Abu Dhabi and is directly accessed from Sheikh Zayed Road or via the Jebel Ali Metro Station. There are 2,500 parking spaces as well as onsite Facilities Management and Tenant Relations teams.
