Tenants and staff support Al Wasl Hospital

The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali will host its first Blood Donation Drive this week, with dozens of tenants and staff from Dubai World and Limitless taking part in the initiative.

The event is being held in support of Al Wasl Hospital, which runs the central blood bank for Dubai’s Department of Health and Medical Services, providing blood to government and private hospitals and trauma centres across the emirate.

Salah Ameen, Executive Director for Limitless in the Middle East, said: “The Galleries is a community development which, by taking part in this worthy cause, is helping the wider community in Dubai. The need for emergency blood can strike anyone at any time, and it is great that so many of our tenants and colleagues are willing to help Al Wasl Hospital in its constant efforts to keep up supplies.”

The Blood Donation Drive is the latest community initiative for the 2,000 tenants at The Galleries. Previous CSR and philanthropic events include Ramadan appeals, collections for construction workers, well woman clinics and food and nutrition seminars.
