Limitless has signed Sharjah Islamic Bank at The Galleries, bringing the total number of banks at Dubai’s newest business community to nine, the company announced today.
Sharjah Islamic Bank has taken a 300 square metre area at The Galleries, where banks now account for more than a third (2,200 sqm) of available retail space. The branch is scheduled to open in January 2014.

Speaking about this latest addition to Sharjah Islamic Bank’s nationwide selection of branches, Jassem Al Baloushi (SIB), Head of Retail Banking Group at Sharjah Islamic Bank said: “We are extremely pleased to be taking up residence in this exciting new development. Our branch at The Galleries will offer the full range of our acclaimed Sharia’a compliant services to the Downtown Jebel Ali area and we look forward to a long and prosperous presence in this rapidly growing part of Dubai.”
Limitless has also leased an entire floor (1,500 sqm) at The Galleries’ office towers to international thermal insulation firm Intherpro LLC, while air conditioning specialists Daikin McQuay have doubled the size of their offices, taking an extra 700 sqm and now occupying a complete floor.
In addition, Wilshire Foods, which holds the franchise for Subway in the UAE, has renewed its lease with Limitless. Subway is one of a growing number of cafes and restaurants at The Galleries.
Almost three quarters of available commercial space is now occupied at The Galleries, which comprises four A-grade office towers, 6,300 sqm of retail space and a 20,000 sqm landscaped plaza. More facilities, including a nursery, are in the pipeline.
Current corporate tenants include BASF, DuPont, Siemens, L’Oreal, Ericsson, Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods), SPX Corporation, Hoffman La Roche, Nikon, Permasteelisa Gartner, Daikin McQuay, Arup, Apollo Tyres, Dubai World and Atos.
Onsite retailers open or coming soon: HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, Bank of Baroda, Arab Bank, Commercial Bank International, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Blom Bank, Desco, Star Digital Print, 1762 Deli, Oregano Restaurant, Click Restaurant, Lounge Café, Fresh Plus convenience store and Diamond Lease car hire.
The Galleries is an eight-building mixed-use project including four completed, fully operational commercial towers and extensive retail space set in shaded, landscaped grounds that span 20,000 sqm – the size of three international football pitches. Limitless is currently exploring options for the completion of The Galleries’ first residential tower.
The Galleries is an hour by car from Abu Dhabi and directly accessed from Sheikh Zayed Road or via the Jebel Ali Metro Station, which is linked to the office towers via a shaded walkway. There are 2,500 parking spaces as well as onsite Facilities Management and Tenant Relations teams.
