Making mixed-use work – the Limitless way

Mixed-use, lifestyle and tourism developments are set to dominate the real estate scene in South-east Asia over the next few years, according to Limitless, the global master development arm of Dubai World.

Limitless, whose growing global portfolio includes three projects in South-east Asia, with more to be announced this year, says that thorough risk assessment, insight into each market and local joint ventures are key to delivering successful and sustainable developments in the region.

Philip Atkinson, Regional Director for Limitless in South-east Asia, said: “South-east Asia presents a host of opportunities for us to draw on our core skills of master planning large scale, urban communities and waterfront developments. In-depth risk assessment, market knowledge and  leveraging the experience of local partners all play a key role in helping to tackle the challenges and complexities associated with these projects.”

Atkinson will discuss more on how Limitless is advancing its presence in South-east Asia at Real Estate Investment World Asia 2008, on this week in Singapore. Limitless is silver sponsor of the event, which brings together hundreds of property professionals, investors, developers and VIPs from the Asian real estate arena.

Limitless’ South-east Asia projects are Malaysia International Halal Park and Puteri Harbour in Malaysia; and Halong Star in Vietnam. The company’s regional HQ for South-east Asia is in Singapore.
