Digital display takes centre stage at Limitless’ landscaped plaza

Limitless has completed construction of The Galleries’ giant screen, the outdoor centrepiece of the company’s flagship project in Dubai.

The 105 square metre screen, made up of 176 individual monitors, overlooks a 300-seat open-air amphitheatre in The Galleries’ landscaped grounds, the social centre of the development and a new venue for cultural and corporate events.

Salah Ameen, Executive Director for Limitless in the Middle East, said: “The Galleries is a destination well as a development, with an emphasis on communal outdoor spaces that complement our A-grade buildings.  Our screen and amphitheatre complete two years of work on our 20,000 square metre grounds, which will be a big draw for The Galleries’ tenants and the general public.”

Framed by a steel structure the size of a tennis court, the screen joins 200 trees, fountains, pools and shaded seating spots in The Galleries’ Plaza. It is due to be switched on for the first time later this month, with plans to broadcast a regular line up of movies, major sporting events and other features.

The Galleries’ Plaza, where the first cafes and restaurants are undergoing fit out, covers a third of project’s land area, sitting among an eight-building mix of offices, apartments, retail and leisure facilities.  Located on Sheikh Zayed Road with its own Metro station, The Galleries is the first community project at Downtown Jebel Ali, master developed by Limitless.
