Companies who lease offices at The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali can now apply for a Jafza trade license through Limitless, the developer announced today.

Companies who lease offices at The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali can now apply for a Jafza trade license through Limitless, the developer announced today.

The move comes in the wake of huge demand from businesses seeking Jafza (Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority) status.

Bahaa Abouhatab, Project Director at The Galleries, said: “One of the first questions asked by potential Galleries tenants is ‘can I get a Jafza free zone license?’, with some companies basing their choice of office location on the type of license available.

“As a result, we are now facilitating the application process for all Galleries tenants who meet Jafza’s criteria, and will assist them throughout the registration procedure.

Jafza based companies enjoy the benefit of 100 per cent foreign ownership, zero per cent corporate tax for a period of 50 years, a concession that is renewable, transfer of capital as required, zero per cent import and export duties, zero per cent personal income tax, no currency restrictions, no restriction on hiring foreign employees, and the facility to mortgage owned premises on leased land.
