Located in zone one of Downtown Jebel Ali, The Galleries is an eight building mix of offices, apartments, retail and leisure facilities set in 20,000 square metres of shaded, landscaped grounds. It is our flagship project, and our first walkable community.
Some of the biggest names in business are found at The Galleries, where our four towers of A-grade offices are filling up fast with local companies and international firms who have chosen Downtown Jebel Ali as their regional hub. Among them are Ericsson, Kraft, L’Oreal, SPX Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank, Permasteelisa Gartner and Capitalstone with more joining all the time. Retailers at The Galleries include Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, Blom Bank France, Diamond Lease and Fresh Plus convenience store, with more in the pipeline.
Our landscaped plaza includes gardens, greenery, fountains, walkways and shaded seating areas. At its heart is a 300 seat amphitheatre overlooked by a 105 sqm digital screen, providing a new venue for cultural events and social gatherings. The plaza will have a range of cafes and restaurants, including Appetite, Nordsea, Subway, Oregano and Mushmaool, the first of which are undergoing fit out and will open in the summer.
Work is also progressing on The Galleries’ first residential units – perfect for businesses based at Downtown Jebel Ali who wish to accommodate new joiners or temporary staff, or for people who want a convenient location for both Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The Galleries is 45 minutes by road from Abu Dhabi, and will soon be directly accessed from the new Interchange 8 on Sheikh Zayed Road and from its own Dubai Metro station. They will open in summer 2010 and October 2010 respectively, according to the Dubai Road Transport Association (RTA).
